忙里偷闲 Curi-curi Tulang while busy..

Hi, it was quite sometimes no update my personal living tips since year ago! Busy...busy and/but still remember refreshing (vacation) is importance for longer way to go!

Took a break to Bandar Kuching (Cat Town) recently (during hari raya haji holiday)! First glance, how was this hotel looked? I stayed for 3nites (RM180/n, inclusive b/fast for 2A2C-mine 2A3C w/o xtra charge ).

Not bad in general = food was satisfactory; room amenities were unique; bathtub, which a heaven for kids (mini pool, of course bigger pool available); smily faces from the staffs....and more more. Hmmm...I give 90% for total service.

Hotel is linking to Sarawak Plaza (shopping). Surrounding is convenient...at least could get McD (24hr) just cross the road far. hehehe...remembered bcoz first snack at night!!!

hmmm...man, looks like a quite strong recommend to this hotel wow! *i earned no commission from hotel mgmt, eventually, hi..hi..hi...

About hotel, OK enough. More tips to come along the trip...

都相当时候没update个人点滴了， 忙碌的生活但是还需偷偷闲以对自己负责...为了走艮远的路做准备。

最近哈芝节假期忙里偷闲到猫城逛逛。

在相片里的酒店呆了三个晚上.....嗯!应别说呆，好像很闷似的，对吧? "Relax了三个晚上"比较贴切（纯粹个人意见）。

房价MYR180/晚，包挂早餐2大2小-但我的是2大3小，没有额外多付1位（待遇不错）。

酒店整体服务不错，早餐类别蛮ok的，房里的设备也齐备，洗澡间也设了澡盆（小孩的mini泳池哦！当然也设有正式的泳池）及客服员的微笑，都为酒店加分（所以整体我给90分）。

酒店临近也方便, 酒店本身就与1家商场互通，还有如三更半夜肚子饿了可到酒店对面的麦当劳（24hours）去解决（因它帮我解决此问题，嘻嘻嘻）！

看来推荐酒店方面需到此为止了，好像酒店付我推荐费似的。。。

后续将介绍猫城其他有趣的点滴，等等哦！

blogging once upon a time.....

a little bit slowing down lately - work, travel, investment, net surfing, etc...etc....(of course including blogging) ><

quite active chatting with gambler recently....not really a gambler but investors hmm... tends to be a gambler some times, or in good timing (stock market lol).

learning certain tricky thinking of them & gained a fun, really....not only how-to-invest, but how-to-treat your life....thru' investing :)....nevertheless, didnt get rich.....soon maybe, hopefully!!

...Penang Hokkien Mee...

...most of us quite familiar or tasted Malaysia's Hokkien Mee, or in Chinese 福建面...

I know many dialects in our Chinese community, Hokkien, Cantonese, Hakka, and bla-bla-bla...those dialects were very big different pronounciation...appreciate the Emperor Qing '秦始皇', who united the dialects to the Mandarin (but omitted to unite the recipe).

Frankly speaking, I had tasted Hokkien Mee in a difference nation...east & west coast of Malaysia, real Fujian Mee in China. They are different not only the appearance but also the taste (I think cooking method also).

I just have a little funny experience about Hokkien Mee when visited Penang Island recently. With a colleague, we were looking for a supper and finally found an open air food stalls at the road side (this food stalls was offering a live-band - auntie singers!!).

While considering what to eat, I told my colleague there was a difference of Hokkien Mee here compared to Kuantan (east coast). Then I told about the difference with my experience at Fuzhou, China (Fujian province).

My colleague quite interested and decided to order one...a-ha-ha-ha, when the Hokkien Mee was served in front of us, we just had a 'stone' moment awhile....'This is not Hokkien Mee! This is a Penang prawn mee 槟城虾面 la...', we talked to the stall-owner.

Then you know the stall-owner response: ' 槟城福建面也就是虾面，你要的应该是抄福建面'. OMG! We just had a 虾面 at Gurney Drive!!!! So, the friendly stall owner volunteered: ' 我可以帮你在另一档叫, 要涩的还是干的?', then I ordered the dry one.

Another 'stone' moment when the Hokkien Mee was served in front of us....this is not fry, this is stew la...!

The result was...me & my colleague finished a DINNER, instead of supper (because we finished the serving-for-2 with 2 difference orders). Anywhere, it was a good experience for me and realized 'do not simply guess the culture at a difference place'.

Emergency landing....

...as mentioned earlier, an incidence occurred during my trip to Australia!

what you can imagine after seeing the photo????...It was a piece of broken tyre!!! (the result of the emergency landing).

While fly back from Sydney to Gold Coast, I supposed landed at Gold Coast airport around 3pm but at Brisbane international airport, instead.

**this Piece in Black was the result of emergency landing ...the airport crew was checking the evidence thru' his camera.

I snapped this picture in a rush when I was in the plane at Brisbane airport....in fact, there was another interesting photo, which a whole piece of broken wheel been carried away by a truck, but I unable to snap that....

During take-off at Sydney airport, there was a loud sound - 'Boong!!' came from the bottom of the plane. However, no announcement been made by cabin crew or captain, initially (I believe there was that I was not realized).

When the plane landed & moving on the track.....it was vibrating sooooo....I just feel like something was going to fall-off at the bottom .

Me and other passengers were moving to luggage pick-up gate (after an hour waiting), I saw a big camera & reporters around....'Are there a super-movie-star around?', I murmured at the first place.

Ha..ha..ha! Actually, that thing was shooting our situation....I knew it because the cameraman was following us when we moved to the shutter bus! (their media was so quick and efficient for this incidence)

...anywhere.... 1st experience (for emergency landing), and I most of the time didn't realize the situation (I slept & AUS-accent). By the way, I got to thank God for bringing me back safely!

巧遇

本人: "老师，还记得我吗？" 当见了她，我是这样问她的...
老师: "你在找她呢还是问我？" 当时我这位老师旁边也站了一位老师。
本人: "是你啊,..." 我指着她说。

老师眼睛睁得大大的望着我, 尽量从她的记忆里扫寻多年时的我...(在我心里，多么希望她即刻道出我的名字)，但是我在她的眼中看到的是好多的问号。些许失望的...就要提起我的名字时..."他是柏良啊！" 声音从后面传来...（声音是另一位老师也是同学的姐姐发出来的）

老师: "对不起，我真的不认得了!"
本人: " 没事没事。" 当时我也只能如此回答咯。（酸溜溜的...)
老师 " 对不起，你知道，我们这么多年见的学生太多了。"
我虽然心里是有点不是味道。但是回想...人之常情嘛，都整三十年了，如果老师还记得我的话，一就是我是品学兼优的学生，或我是大问题学生，使得她对我有很深的印象。（也就是说我只是一位平常的学生，唉!!!)，而且当年我是仰望着她说话，但是现在可是向下望哦.........

老师: " 我现在在 Kuala Lipis, 很感谢你还记得我叫我一声老师。希望下次再见到你的时候，可以叫出你的名字。" 就这样，也没太多的寒暄，我们握了手道别。

看着她的背影渐渐远去，感慨的想...岁月不留人，老师的样子大致上没多大变化，只是比以前清瘦多了。

她的名字叫陈文珠老师，是我当年小学四至六年级的级任老师。
对我来说，陈老师是一位多才多艺的老师...音乐，地理，舞蹈，常识，样样都精通，而且，陈老师可拉得一手好风琴哦，也玩吉他玩得很好。

在那三年里，因为她，我相当活跃于课外活动；扇舞，笛子乐队，歌咏队，等等；最让我记忆犹新的是表演'七仙女下凡'，男扮女装哦...非常搞笑，可惜没能留下一张半张相片，不然可以在此与各位分享。

可能因为此舞台演出的机会，虽然只是地方型的演出，造就了我今天向大众演讲时没有恐惧感。

.....这次的瓜拉丁加奴一日游，给我带来非常大的收获，虽然没能有好好的时间与她叙旧，最少让我看到了我敬爱的老师多年后的风采。

在此，也希望她与家人身体健康，万事顺意。也籍此说声 "老师，谢谢您!"

Yummy! Yummy???...

...guess what? It was a very common food I made during my short stay at Gold Coast Australia. Uncommon thing was.....it was fried with a healthy way...no oil!! *=*

***Due to an unexpected incidence on 26/May, I arrived Gold Coast around 7pm, insteads of 3:30pm (I will tell the story about the incidence later). I was so tired after checked-in ....my brain was 'stoned' and unable to think in normal way.

After dropped my luggage in the apartment, I firstly checked the kitchen - the result = satisfactory! Quite a complete tools & utensils ready. There was a frying pan (electrical type) as well....Hmmm 'none-stick pan'. "OK, not bad!", I murmured myself & this finding had programed into my brain.

During shopping (for breakfast, so I could sleep undoubtedly) in the evening, I had no intention to purchase the cooking oil at all (I just gonna stay GC for 2nites....a bottle size of cooking oil?? What for???).

Eventually, my breakfast set was as shown below....(after hard work)

For me, I assessed it 95% yumm..yumm.

$$?...just about AUD10 for whole....egg, noodle, milk, fruit juice & coffee (coffee was a complementary ^^).

...'Never repeat the same mistake'...during shopping the next day in the afternoon, I bought sufficient material for my lunch....this time, I planned 'Minutes Steak'.

The material...beef steak (marinated), butter, beef soup n' vege + mix-fruit juice.

It cost me about AUD15.....n'

Next, my dinner time....

I prepared Salmon fish...frying one.
I had a pack of White Gravy because thinking it would give a better taste & appearance.

So, looked like that...

*I finished up all the remaining material, which I purchased yesterday...egg, beef soup, vege, marinated beef, juice & wine.. this dinner almost caused me gained a kg extra...I think.

*Tips: for salmon fish, I applied salt and black pepper as the taste booster,....n' (secretly): "tell you where the salt & black pepper come from...it was FOC; from fast food store. Good idea...?"

Well!!! It was fun to cook myself while a short stay at GC, and it was my objective as well...Cost Down! I believe I achieved 100%.

Tell you what....the total cost I spent for FnB in GC (3d2n) about AUD25/pax only (inclusive dinner outside on the late arrival).

Advice whoever plan to travel AUS, do my way...you can see the difference!

Cost Saving & Fun....cont'

...room AUD20.50/pax (twin-sharing) in Sydney. Good deal!!!

Everybody knew the accommodation in Sydney very costly, especially the central of city (near Chinatown).

I spent quite some times to survey thru' Internet, including studied the package provided by VB but the result I got was AUD90-150/room. It was initially acceptable for AUD90 (4star near Darling Harbour) but quite far from central of city (I was not familiar the city but looked at the location map, I assumed it was far, at least to Chinatown).

Coincidentally, I had read thru' one of the website, in order to know more about Sydney and place of interest (the web start with 'L'), it was showing all kind of backpacker hotel, motel, etc. and provided a review (if they accommodated).....so, I choose this (the price shown was too attractive for me, although some visitors had been giving a...um..considered lousy review). "Actually, who care...", I talked to myself: "we just need a room to sleep, as long as it is a proper room, right?" and another great advantage was = near to Sydney Chinatown.

Furthermore, I firmed my decision about this hotel was...3-nite stay get free airport transit....Wooooo! Airport transit cost AUD12/pax though!

So simple calculation, AUD20.50 x3nites - AUD12 = AUD16.50/pax/nite for accommodation ....Wahaha, nobody can stop me taking you now!!!!

*Important notes:

room has no attached bathroom. You got to walk-out your room & search it, and....it is sharing! Interesting....

My conclusion:

***try the difference and feel the difference***
